Petnica Science Center had for already 15 years been organizing many serious archaeological excavations.
A great number of students of archaeology and many generations of archaeologists had their first
practical experience. Seminar of Archaeology in PSC in cooperation with several scientific institutions, started the
project of International Summer School of Archaeology (SSA) in 2003.

By taking part in SSA some would broaden his/her field experience, gain knowledge and information about theory in
archaeology and archaeology of the Balkans. If you participate in SSA you can learn a lot about teamwork, acquire
useful contacts with your colleagues, which might have as a result serious multi-disciplinary and international projects.

Various excursions, evenings with guitar and national cuisine will reveal you and make this country look very familiar
to you, its people and customs. Your sojourn here in a lovely mountain village surrounded by ancient woods and
pastures will turn your excavation into a real vacation.
